C. moschata. Cheese type. Tan colored fruit with moderate ribbing fruit are highly oblate, though a few are more pyriform (have a slight "neck"). Fruit measure 6-11" long, 9-12.5" wide, and weigh 8-15 lbs. Medium orange flesh up to 2 inches thick. Fair eating qualities. Dry matter content 8.71. BRIX reading 6.8. Stringy flesh with a high water content. Vigorously vining plants with soft hairs. Fruit kept two months in storage at Heritage Farm in 2013-2014. Storage time may have been compromised by squash mosaic virus. Given to SSE by Ronald Bennett (NY BE R) who first offered the variety in the 1986 SSE Yearbook Exchange. Bennett acquired it from the Linn Sammis family of McAfee, NJ. SSE Accession # 119998
