Scarlet Keeper

Rather short, stubby roots with thick shoulders and a strong taper. 4.5-6.5 inches long. Danvers-like shape. Solid orange. Uniform in color and shape. Tall, strong tops. Stronger carrot flavor that burns slightly in the back of the throat when raw. Mildly sweet. SSE acquired this variety in 2016 from Fedco Seeds (Fe5). SSE Accession # 133523
