Long, slender, dark purple-black fruit. Fruit tend to rest on the ground and curve. Few prickles on the calyx. Fruit are born singly. Market mature fruit are 9-15" long, 4" wide, and 4-8oz. Light green flesh color. Very good flavor, moderately sweet, slightly bitter. Skin somewhat tough. Fruit turn yellow-brown at seed maturity. Dark purple flowers. Plants reach up to 2' tall. Purple-green leaves and dark purple stems and calyxes. Highly productive when grown in 2016 at Heritage Farm. Mid-season maturing. Acquired by SSE from Ledden Brothers (CV Led). SSE Accession # 109485
