chocolate-brown oblong med. size seed, long, slightly flattened, tender pods with good flavor, a small portion of the seeds I harvested from this variety a few years ago were off color due to an accidental cross with another bean grown 30+ years by Mrs. Russell Varner, Hollandale MN, I named this bean because the Varner family did not have a name for it.
