Bulbs with medium thick reddish-purple skin and white flesh. Bulbs range in shape from oval to rhomboid and measure 2.5-3.5 inches in diameter and weigh up to 11 ounces. Intermediate day length onion and not great for storage. Moderately sweet, and pungent. Acquired by SSE from Lockhart Seeds, Inc (CV Loc). A variety by this name has been exchanged in the SSE Yearbook Exchange for at least 20 years. SSE Accession # 114245
