Canadian Wild Goose

Semi Runner/Viney/dry. 90+ days to first dry pods. Viney half runner type. Productive plants that produce 4 inch pods with purple striping containing an average of 4 beans per pod. Seed is plump rounded, slightly smaller than a navy bean with a white base color. Streaked and speckled over the entire surface in medium gray. This bean is not the same strain I first listed in the 1979 yearbook that I had obtained from John Withee's Wanigan Associates. The Wanigan Canadian Wild Goose was I believe more productive and also had a slight brownish figure around the eye. Would like to find that Wanigan strain again. Source history for this currently grown strain of CWG is: NY VA B '12, N.S. LA M '11, Heritage Harvest Seed.
