Maryland Heirloom

Buff colored, pear-shaped squash. 8-12 inches long, 7-9 inches wide, 6-12 pounds. Cucurbita moschata. Some variability in degree of necking. Smooth rind. Bright orange flesh with a medium-small seed cavity on the bulbous end. Excellent flavor. Moist flesh and a little stringy. Sweet. Brix 8.1. Dry matter content 9.4%. Highly vining plants. Moderately productive when grown in 2019 at Heritage Farm. Showed quite severe symptoms of anthracnose. SSE Accession # 119966
