Cowhorn No. 2

Long and thin, slightly prickly, yellow-green pods. Mixture of straight and slightly curved pods. 7-10 ridges per pod. Dry pods measure 10-13" long and 1" wide. Green plants, reaching 5-6' tall at Heritage Farm. James Neal of Center, TX (TX NE J) donated this heirloom variety of okra to SSE in the early 1980s. At that time, he indicated it had been grown by his family since circa 1930. SSE Accession # 113988
