Whippoorwill

Peas have good flavor and are plump, meaty, and smooth. Strongly sprawling, indeterminate plants have violet flowers. Sub-hastate light green leaves. Long, wide, straight pods are green with a pigmented tip. Mature pods are light green with a pink blush along the suture string. Tan dry pods measure 7.0-8.0" long. 17-18 seeds per pod. Seeds are small, brown with darker brown speckles, with a square end. Moderately productive when grown on Heritage Farm in 2018. Dry pods in late August. SSE Accession # 108824
