C. maxima. Winter squash. Hubbard type. Acorn-shaped (widest in the middle with a sharply tapered blossom end). Slight to moderate corking on rind, otherwise smooth. Moderate ribbing extends from end to end. Very hard, thick rind. Dark orange flesh. Performed well in 2013 squash taste evaluation at Heritage Farm. Outstanding, smooth texture. Good flavor. Moderately sweet. Slightly drier flesh. Somewhat variable in size. Mature fruit reach 6-13"" long by 5-8"" wide. Fruit weigh 2-9 lbs. Plants vine but do not sprawl vigorously. Entire leaves. No silvering. Stiff trichomes (hairs) on stems and leaves. Mid-season maturing. Fruit kept for 98 days on average when stored at Heritage Farm in 2013-3014. SSE Accession # 119929
