Albenga Oxheart

90 days, Very attractive heart-shaped fruits (see pic) ripen to a deep red and have a very good, distinctive flavor with subtle sweetness and meaty texture. Smooth, virtually blemish free fruits with no fluting or ruffling distinguish this from similar varieties. Healthy, indeterminate vines produce a good number of fruits in the 0.5 to 1.0 lb. range; 1.25 lb. was the largest in 2012. My seeds came from Jennifer Ibarra of Tomatoville, 2012. This variety is also listed at King's Seeds, a seed company based in New Zealand.
