Compact bushy plants. Pods mostly born above canopy on pigmented racemes. Violet flowers. Hastate shaped green leaves. Plump green immature pods. Mature pods turn yellow with a purple blush. Tan pendent dry pods measure 7-8" long. 1-3 pods per peduncle. 14-16 seeds per pod. Seeds are large, brown and resemble chickpeas. Cooked seeds taste meaty and earthy. Mid season maturity. Above average productivity when grown on Heritage Farm in 2018. This variety was donated to SSE in 2008 by Greg Hollander of Chrisney, Indiana (IN HO G2). who received the seed from an unnamed coworker whose family from eastern Kentucky grew it.
