Large, slightly flattened roots are light brown in color. Ivory colored flesh is quite aromatic and has a relatively strong celery flavor and a hint of bitterness. Plants are very uniform. Roots reach 3-4" long and 4-4.5" wide; 1.5-2lbs. Plants grow 1.5' tall. Outer leaf petioles are green, inner petioles are light purple. Acquired by SSE from Territorial Seed Co (CV Ter) in the late 1980s or early 1990s. CV Ter stated in their catalog description that a Dutch seed company was their source for this seed.
