Pole/snap. Average texture and flavor for a snap bean. Dry beans have average flavor and creamy texture. Moderately climbing plants have dark green leaves and white flowers. Green, wide, immature pods become more constricted as they mature. Fully expanded pods measure 6" long and 0.5-0.7" wide. 7-8 seeds per pod. Medium sized, white, oblong seeds. Moderate productivity when grown on Heritage Farm in 2018. Snap beans late July. Donated to SSE in 1997 by John Coykendall (TN CO J). This variety comes from the Sharps Chapel community in Union County, Tennessee where it was grown by Curt Steiner for over 80 years. This variety is originally from a lady named Maisy Ousley.
