Plants are 22-37" tall. Green stems with dark purple nodes, sparse stem and leaf pubescence. White flowers. Anthocyanin on immature fruit. Immature pale green fruit turn red at maturity. Conic shape, mostly pendant with a few intermediate to erect. Good, sweet flavor with moderate heat, especially in placenta. Fruit are 4.7-8.4" long, 2.3-3.3" wide, 3.7-7.1 oz. Mid-season maturing, low productivity, 5% of plants lodged when grown in 2013 at Heritage Farm. Donated to SSE by Sue Gronholz (WI GR S) who introduced this variety into the 1999 SSE Yearbook Exchange. It was given to Sue by Jim Rollins of Beaver Dam, WI. He acquired it from the Joe Hussli family of Beaver Dam, WI who brought the pepper over from Hungary around 1929. SSE Accession # 117882
