Garden pea. Sugar pods. Climbing plants have white flowers and 0-1 basal branches. Straight green pods measure 3.0-3.5 inches long 0.6-0.7 inches wide. Pods borne in singles on plants. Earlier maturing and average productivity when grown in 2016 at Heritage Farm. Garden peas need to be picked at the right time or they quickly become starchy and bitter.
