Syrup variety. Tall, slender plants reach 8-9ft tall. Commonly 3-4 tillers per plant. Brix score: 14.1. Semi-loose, erect panicles. Panicles are 10-12" long. Black glumes are longer than grains. Grains are straw-colored, medium-sized, and elliptical. They are mostly starchy. ~2000-2500 grains per panicle. Easy to thresh. Early maturing. Donated to SSE in 2007 by Barbara Rosholdt (VA RO B) who acquired it from Southern Exposure Seed Exchange. Described by SESE as a variety they received from R.C. Mauldin of Southwestern Seed Service Lab in Waco, TX. SSE Accession # 119327
