Long and straight, very dark green fruit. Faint light green stripes at the blossom end. Glossy skin. White spines on prominent bumps. Moderate ribbing. Fruit become solid yellow at seed maturity. Market mature fruit measure 6-8" long by 1.3-2.2" wide and weigh 6-11oz. Seed mature fruit reach 7-11" long by 2.3-2.8" wide. Good, sweet flavor. Crunchy and juicy. Skin somewhat thick. No bitterness. Mid-season maturing. Average productivity when grown in 2013 at Heritage Farm. Request by SSE from Dr. James Wolfe (TN WO J) via the 2001 SSE Yearbook Exchange. Wolfe offered this variety from 1994-2010 and originally got his seeds from Ferry Morse in 1987. This variety was developed by Dr. Henry Munger at Cornell University and was released in 1976. It is the 3rd major release in the long line of 16 Marketmore cucumbers developed by Dr. Munger and Cornell over a 30 year period.
