Leaf mustard for especially good for salads. Plants are a beautiful purple-green color. Leaves are broad, highly blistered, and strongly downward curling. Plants reach 16-19 inches tall and 19-28 at maturity. Leaves are very pungent, like wasabi, but sweet, juicy, and crisp. Performs best when summer sowed and fall/winter grown. Tends to bolt early from spring plantings. Brassica juncea. Donated to SSE in 2002 by Kazumitsu Tsutsui (JAPA TS K) of Kagawa, Japan who purchased this variety in a local market. It has become popular in the SSE Yearbook Exchange where it's been shared and offered for at least 20 years. SSE Accession # 113922
