Pole bean. Snap bean. Strong climber with White flowers. Pods mature from light green to green with purple blush to yellow with red blush. Dry pods are leathery with 4-6 seeds per pod. Fully expanded pods curved with a strong suture string and pronounced constriction and measure 4-5.5" long and about 0.5" wide. Medium sized seeds light brown, plump, and truncate in shape. Moderate yield and a bit earlier than other varieties when grown in 2015 at Heritage Farm. Snap beans are fruity, tender, and crunchy. Runner-up in 2015 SSE snap bean taste evaluation. Given to SSE by Benny Michitti (VA MI B) in 1983. Michitti got his seeds from Mrs. Garnett Thompson of West Hamlin, West Virginia. This variety originally came from the Buoy family of Kentucky, who had maintained it as far back as 1832. SSE Accession # 102139
