No Name Popcorn (Razor)

Plants average 5.5' tall with green stems. Typically 1 tiller per plant. Leaves pendant. Tassels have secondary branching, avg 15.6" long. Small, cylindrical-conical ears with dark yellow-orange kernels and white cobs, avg 14 rows in a regular pattern. Ears avg 5.7" long, 1.3" wide. Ear set avgs 2 per plant. Kernels pop type, dark yellow-orange in color, pointed, and small. 8% root lodging when grown in 2011. Tasseled mid-season. Popped corn has a nice toasty and slightly sweet flavor. Texture is a bit spongy. Donated to SSE by Al and Mary Razor (IA RA A) who received the variety from a rabbi. SSE Accession # 108011
