Pimento, Round Tomato Shaped

Plants average 2.5' tall, narrowly branching habit. Medium fruit are flattened and highly ribbed like a tomato, ripen from green to red. Fruit average 2" long, 3.6" wide at widest point, 6oz. Slightly lower fruit set. Slightly sweet, subtle flavor, good flesh texture. Donated to SSE by Ermal Kuhns (IN KU E) who obtained it from John Goldsberry of Elwood, IN. John received it from his own father, who originally got the variety from Amish near Shipshewana, IN. SSE Accession # 116523
