Honsesalat

Beautiful, large and vigorous looseleaf lettuce with burgundy blush on leaf surface and leaf margins and bright green inner leaves. Leaves are spoon-shaped, moderately blistered and slightly curly with a delicious flavor that isn't bitter and a crisp, tender and juicy midrib. Tolerated the stresses of a hard freeze and abnormally dry conditions of early May very well in 2020 when grown at Heritage Farm. Plants grew to be 18.5-23.5 inches across and about 13.5-17 inches high. Early to mature and late to bolt, this lettuce was a stellar performer in Heritage Farm trials. SSE Accession # 111552
