Garden beet. Spherical roots have dark red, smooth skin. Flesh is purple/red with a thin white ring. Roots measure 2.5-3.7" long, 2-4" in diameter, and weigh up to 15 oz. Long thin taproots. Leaves are dark green with purple petioles and vein. Tall plants measure 8-14" tall. Roots buried medium deep in soil. BRIX 7.0.
