Small 8" tall plants produce large cherry type fruit. acquired by SSE at an unknown date from Gleckler's Seedmen (CV Gl1). This variety was developed as a plant breeding class project and introduced in 1945 by J. R. Hepler at the University of New Hampshire. J. R. Hepler’s eleven year old son, Billy Hepler, sold a pound of Tiny Tim seed to a New York seed company for $80, thus beginning his career as “America’s Youngest Seed Grower”. A few years later, in 1947, he started the Billy Hepler Seed Company, which operated until 1962. SSE Accession # 121470
