Greenbush Italian

Red, oxheart tomato. Indeterminate, regular leaves. Firm, dense flesh with a meaty texture. Moderately sweet, good flavor, and low acid. Few seeds and not much juice. Somewhat thick skin. Heart-shaped fruit have wide shoulders and taper to a point. Some fasciated fruit. Slight to moderate radial and concentric cracking. 1-4 fruit per cluster. Ripe fruit measure 2.5-3.6" long by 2.3-3.5" wide and weigh 0.3-0.8lbs. Inserted flower stigma. Plants suffered from septoria leaf spot in 2014 growout at Heritage Farm. Average productivity. Mid-season maturing. Acquired by SSE from Martin Longseth (WI LO M) who introduced this variety into the 2007 SSE Yearbook Exchange where he described it as being grown for years in the Greenbush area of Madison, WI.
