Jeanne Wolf

Petite container-friendly plants measure 5-11" tall. Straight green pods. White flowers, green stems, and normal leaves. 1-2 pods per peduncle. Mix of cream-colored and pale green smooth, round seeds. Fresh peas are very sweet with good flavor. Moderately vigorous and lower productivity when grown in 2025 at Heritage Farm. Early season maturing. Donated to SSE by Jeanne Wolf and grown within her husband's family since at least the 1850s when they immigrated to the U.S. When her husband's ancestors came to America, they could not find peas with the same flavor in their new country, so seed was sent to them from family who had remained in Alsace-Lorraine.
