Old Fashioned

Standard ground cherry. Small round, orange fruit have a sweet, tropical taste. Highly sprawling plants. Productive. Physalis grisea. This variety was donated to SSE in the mid 2000s by Jeptha Yoder (PA YO J) who described it as a family heirloom which has self-sowed for generations. SSE Accession # 110996
