Haogen

Reticulatus melon. This melon is round and smooth skinned, with some superficial ribbing. It is dark green, turning yellow-green with light green veins at maturity. The fruit slip off the vine at maturity. During the 2021 planting at Heritage Farm this melon had moderate productivity. Market mature melons measure 4.5-5.5" wide, 4-5" long and weigh 2-2.5 lbs. The flesh is green and 0.8-1.2" thick with a thin rind. The flavor is great! It is sweet and juicy, though there is some sweetnss closer to the rind. Mid season maturing. SSE Accession # 112862
