VEGETABLES / BEAN
SNAP-POLE
Pole bean best eaten at the snap stage. The snap beans have a good crunch and snap, nice sweetness, and low stringiness. They do become overmature rather quickly and develop tough hulls. The harvest window is relatively short. The dark green pods are long (6-8"), relatively flat, and recurved. The flowers are purple. The dry beans are shiny, black, medium sized ovals. During the 2021 planting at Heritage Farm this variety had medium-high productivity. Mid season maturing. SSE Accession # 104433
