These highly productive, dwarf plants reach 2-4' tall at Heritage Farm but are difficult to harvest because of their short stature and prickly pods. Long, thin, green pods are both straight and curved with 6-9 distinct ridges. Green leaves with red veins and petioles. Seed mature pods average 10" long and 0.8" wide. Standard flavor and texture. Best eaten under 4" long. Mid-season maturing. Donated to SSE by Ted Gibbs who received the variety in 1982 from Gerald Adaway (TX AD G) of Beaumont, Texas. SSE Accession # 113979
