Cushaw with curved neck of white, fine-grained flesh, smooth white skin ripens to ivory. 10 lbs, 24" long. Keeps until January. Obtained from Kevin McCarty (IL MK K) who said in the 2009 Yearbook that an elderly friend in Southern Illinois recognized it as "White Crookneck Pumpkin". It was commonly grown interplanted among the corn and was preferred for pie. From CA MI R, grown from 1830-1980 on a Springfield, IL farm, the family's original source was friends (Abraham Lincoln's parents.)
