Green Family

Pole bean of vigorous growth, early producing. Use as a dry bean or as a snap bean when pods are small. Pods elongate, green to light yellow, 5-6" long, with 5 or 6 seeds. Flowers white or light purple. Beans white, about 3/8" long, similar to a navy bean. Grown by Jeffery Goss in 2021 for the Collection Documentation Project; he reported that the variety has a "decent tolerance to drought" and evaluated it as "excellent". Donated to SSE by J.T. Wickey (MO WI J2) of Mansfield, Missouri who introduced this variety into the 2005 SSE Exchange. Wickey described it as a variety grown by the Green family for many years. SSE Accession # 105617
