Purple Top

Large, beautiful, pink beefsteak tomato. A staff favorite for flavor and appearance. Flattened fruit have only slight cracking. 2-3 fruit per cluster. Slight cat-facing on a few fruit. Fruit measure 2.5-3.5" long, 3.5-4.5" wide, and weigh 0.7-1.3lbs. Bushy, indeterminate plants are highly productive despite producing large fruit. Dark pink flesh. Brix score: 4.8. Potato leaf. Mid-season maturing. Donated to SSE by Patrick Callahan (CO CA P) who received this variety from an Indiana family through an Organic Gardening seed swap. SSE Accession # 122866
