All Season Drumhead

Medium-large heads; oblate in shape; solid. Heads exposed with subtending leaves curled outwards. Leaves blue-green; high bloom. Petioles light green. Market mature heads 5-8" long; 7-11" wide. Plants 12-18" tall; 22-32" wide. Raw leaves are pungent with a mustard flavor, especially in petiole, but are slightly sweet and crisp. Cooked leaves lose mustard flavor and are mild, not very sweet, and not as crisp as other varieties. Mid-season maturing when grown in 2014 at Heritage Farm. Acquired by SSE in the Di Giorgi Seed Co.
