Fisher's Mountaineer

Hubbard type. This type of Hubbard was called a "Black Hubbard" by the early ranchers of Eastern Montana. Not as small as a Baby Hubbard, but a tad smaller than some of the really big ones. Grows enthusiastically in our tough Montana weather. One even grew up in the top of my apple tree! I love squash and pumpkin pie, and this is the best tasting squash I have ever eaten. Very orange, a little dry, intense flavor. Developed/stewarded by the Fisher family of eastern Montana.
