Blue Eyes TPS 2017-1

2020 EDIT: I also have a TPS 2017-3 strain. This is botanical seed harvested from potato seed berries which self-pollinated [not a controlled cross] therefore the TPS name matches with the female parent which self or cross pollinated with unknown male parent. In my opinion a very interesting seed because this strain is a progeny of BLUE EYES (a potato fully grounded in Tom Wagner's work with phureja type potato). Phureja originates in Colombia and features very dark yellow flesh (YEMA DE HUEVO is an example). Unfortunately most phureja type potato are almost impossible to grow at our latitudes because of extremely long seasons to form tubers, AND tubers store very poorly. This is perhaps the biggest accomplishment of Tom Wagner, bringing us a line of phureja tubers which yield very well, store well, taste good and produce berries to ensure a long term source healthy seed. 2020 is my 2nd year listing this strain and I now have 25 seeds to share.
