Garlic Chives

Garlic chives. Perennial. Prolific producer of leaves resembling fat grass. Mild garlic flavor. Sustains repeated cutting and is a reliable source of dark leafy greens when other greens or not producing. Good container plant. Slowly spreads via tubers and benefits from thinning every three or four years. White flower heads are an excellent addition to bouquets and may make a good dried flower. We grow them in a 25 gal. container which is lovely when all the flower stalks are blooming.
