Australian Broome

VEGETABLES / PEPPER
HOT
Capsicum annuum. This rare Australian chile seems to have actually originated from Darwin, not Broome, as one would surmise. Three to four feet tall, the plant has medium green foliage. Peppers are three to four inches long, and an inch wide. Green when immature, turning orange and then bright red when ripe. Hints of sourness and fruity flavors, with a medium flesh at a bit lower than habanero level heat.
