Desiree

Average to large light red skinned, yellow fleshed potato. My heaviest producer of all those varieties that I grow. Lovely dry flesh, perfect for baking or frying. Does well both in dry and wet summers. More resistant to hollow heart in our wet falls than any other red potato I've ever grown. The plants are large and sprawling and require a bit of extra space, especially if planted next to a less robust variety, so they don't overwhelm them.
