Sutton's Western Perfection

Yellow roots with dark purple shoulders. Roots are slightly flattened to round. Smooth skin. Roots measure 4-5" long, 5-7" wide, and weigh 2-4lbs. Roots mostly above soil line. Cream-colored flesh. Moderately sweet with standard flavor. Brix score: 8.7. When grown in 2015 at Heritage Farm, almost all roots developed large, very deep horizontal cracks. Moderate root forking. Green leaves and petioles. Plants reach 1-2' tall and 3-4.5' wide. SSE Accession # 119212
