Large, long, bright orange carrots taper to a point. Thick, rounded shoulders. Uniformly orange core. Many split roots in 2016 growout at Heritage Farm. Slightly ridged skin. Small leaves. Roots 6-8" in length, 1.1-1.6" in diameter, 2.0-4.0 oz at market maturity. Heavy yielder. Reputedly stores well. Fair flavor, less sweet, dry texture at harvest. Good texture. Flavor likely improves during storage. Plants vigorous, erect, green leaves; few hairs. Given to SSE by Robert Wood (KS WO R). SSE Accession # 106855
