Six Weeks Wax

Wax bean. Round pods 5-6" long, light golden, with relatively thin skin. Plants are very productive and very early. Good flavor. Dried beans are a golden-tan color and small. Easy to grow. Grown by Joseph Klein for the 2023 Collection Documentation Project; Joseph comments that they have good flavor, and although they are not as sweet or buttery as Roc d'Or, it may be worth it for the earliness. Donated to SSE by Alzbeta Kovacova-Pecarova (SLOV KO A) who described it as a type of bean raised around her village of Kosice, Slovakia. SSE Accession # 103157
