Garlic Chives

Allium tuberosum. Narrow-leafed Asian densely growing perennial, 12-15". Flat broad leaves and decorative white flowers. in October. No pests. Keep weeded for a few years. 2025 seeds from volunteers and plants from a friend. Most of them died the winter of 2024-2025, as did most of my walking onions and chives and scallions. Mild garlic flavor. My Chinese friend cooks this in omelets. Flowers are said to be edible too (but not the bulbs). Does much better here in shade than regular chives and makes a nice ground cover once it is established. 2025 seed
