Garlic Chives

Allium tuberosum. Narrow-leafed Asian densely growing perennial, 12-15". Flat broad leaves and decorative white flowers. in October. No pests. Keep weeded for a few years. Most of the plants died during a spring frost, but some survived to produce 2026 seed. Mild garlic flavor. My Chinese friend cooks this in omelets. Flowers are said to be edible too (but not the bulbs). Does much better here in shade than regular chives and makes a nice ground cover once it is established.
