Bush lima, 1-2' tall. Pretty, oblong, flat seeds have variable patterns. Seeds have a cream to buff colored background color and either a black or maroon pattern color ranging from less than half to almost entire. Standard eating qualities. Fresh limas have a thick skin and dense texture. Dry limas have a dry texture and standard flavor. Slightly curved pods have a medium length beak. Pods average 2.9" long by 0.8" wide. 2-3 seeds per pod. Shattering dry pods. Mid-season maturing when grown in 2015 at Heritage Farm. Donated to SSE by Forrest Durey Sr. His parents, Floyd & Cora Durey, obtained the variety in the 1920s from a neighbor named Mrs. Bordman near Lamont, IA. SSE Accession # 112733
