Small, ovate, heavily netted fruit. Yellow skin. Moderate tendency to split. Fruit abscises easily from vine when overripe. Market mature fruit measure 3.8-4.9" long by 3.4-4.2" wide and weigh 0.75-1.25lbs. Thick, orange flesh with a small seed cavity. Good, well-rounded flavor. Sweet and juicy. Smooth texture. Green-yellow rind. Mid-late season maturing. Given to SSE by Neil Lockhart (IL LO N) who obtained this variety in 2001 from Jeremiath Gettle (MO GE J). It's originally from southern Missouri and dates back to the Civil War era. SSE Accession # 113375
