Kermit's Smokey Mountain

Pole Snap. I Acquired this bean at the SSE Seed Swap in 2019 from Jim Tjepmeka of Minnesota. He called it just Kermit. I see that Russ Crow has the same bean and he uses the full name that I listed above. Russ says that this is an historic bean grown in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee for five generations by the Caughron family. Kermit Caughron called Cades Cove, Tennessee home from his birth in 1912 to his death in 1999 and he was the last man to live in lived in what is now known as Smoky Mountain National Park. This is a bean that he grew. 25 seeds per pack.
