Red Turtle

2022 seed. Semi-runner, pole, red, dry bean with vines climbing around five feet. Beans are medium sized, solid red, and are easily shelled from four inch, thin-walled pods. Good short-season bean. I grow these in a zone 3b garden and still harvest most as dry beans! Russ Crow (IL CR R) discovered this variety as an outcross of Black Turtle Soup in the 70s.
