Cranberry, Tan Pole

Pole/dry. 5' tall, vigorous vines. 3-5" long pods with 3-7 beans per pod. Dried beans are a solid maroon/cranberry color. Vines are said to have few problems with disease or pests. Not high producing. When cooked, the beans turn the cooking water red. Grown by Jeannette Lawson in 2024 for the Collection Documentation Project; Jeannette commented the bean performed well and had no disease problems for them in the growing year.
