Indeterminate. Regular leaf. Red paste type. An old heirloom variety which originated in Germany, dating back to at least the 1800s. The plant is highly productive and bears 5 ½ inch elongated pointy tomatoes that are 2-6" long, weigh about 5 ounces and are meaty with an excellent rich flavor. These tomatoes are known for their use in sauces and pastes and are also great canned. They have a sweet, delicious tomato flavor with a rich smooth aftertaste and very few seeds. Heavy bearer. 80 days.
